Jeff Van Wie is the co-screenwriter of The Last Song and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he attended on a full athletic scholarship as a middle-distance runner. He still holds the New York State high school record in the 800 meters, set in 1983, along with two long-standing records at Notre Dame.
After a 37-year career in business and technology consulting, Jeff is now pursuing his lifelong passion for storytelling. A Catholic convert, his faith has profoundly shaped both his life and his writing.
Jeff writes faith-driven fiction centered on characters searching for meaning and ultimately encountering Christ. His stories explore love, redemption, and second chances—often through romantic relationships that become the path to faith.
